How every entry earns its place

We test straps on real watches, judging material quality, hardware grade, comfort on the wrist, and whether the construction holds up after months of wear -- not just out of the box.

  1. 01 Material quality. Leather tanning and grain, nylon weave density, FKM vs silicone, mesh fineness.
  2. 02 Hardware grade. Buckle finish, buckle rattle, keeper quality, spring bar compatibility.
  3. 03 Fit and comfort. Lug sizing accuracy, break-in period, breathability, wrist irritation.
  4. 04 Durability. How the strap holds up after months of daily wear, sweat, and moisture exposure.
  5. 05 Value. Price weighed against build quality, materials, and whether a premium is actually visible.
  6. 06 Versatility. Whether the strap works across watch styles -- dress, sport, casual -- or is narrowly suited.
